a little update.

it's been a while since i've updated this, and that was a tiny bit depressing. the highlights:

+end of summer & less than two weeks before i start college

+thursday: went to the final riot at mud island.
- i got my friends in free. they acted extremely ungrateful. i got upset, so they acted immature and texted each other
about it. seriously? i thought we were going to college.
- jack's mannequin is amazing. their show wasn't over dramatic or filled with fiery special effects. it was real music
backed with actual talent. andrew mcmahon is possibly my favorite musician i've seen live. i was in total awe for
hours after their performance. seeing them on a headlining gig is on my wish list.

+i've been talking with my new roommate.
- she's into country. i like it too, but it's her favorite kind of music, so we're both in for a little change.

+tuesday: mayhem fest in atlanta.
- we left memphis around 4.
- i got in free w/ VIP status. i worked in a tent for most of the day so i avoided the rain...for a while. myke, the guy in
charge, had us pack up once the hot topic & jaegermaister stage finished. he then led us to the main stage...then
to the pit. caught the end of dragonforce's set and watched disturbed and slipknot. not bad, but i would have
enjoyed it more if i hadn't been kicked in the head by some jerk who, once he hit the ground, almost got me to use
violence.

so i just got back a few hours ago, and i' m a little withdrawn from my friends. being with them for that long makes me feel much better about moving. i'm ready to meet new people and maybe some less drama filled friends.

gone so young

i'm not exactly sure how to take Heath Ledger's death and i know it may sound stupid to cry for someone i didn't even know. but i have so much respect for him, his acting, and his style of acting.
it sucks that his daughter won't really get to know him, but i truly believe that he's gone to a better place.
i can't imagine the amount of pain his family is feeling, but my prayers and deepest sympathies are out for his family.
this is just me rambling and probably none of this makes any sense.

the big 1-8

[[this is purely out of boredom and procrastination]]
sooooooooo my birthday's in like a month and a few days, so i should be excited because it's my 18th.
but i'm not.

i've got friends getting giddy out about tattoos, piercings and going to//throwing wild parties, but i could care less.
besides, i'm waiting to get my tattoos and piercings til i get to college [to prevent parental freakout].
as for partying, there's a possibility that i will get mad crazy in some random club downtown.

to get to the point, i need a reason to celebrate my 18th b-day.
that sounds sad.

w/e - i've got makeup work to finish start.

The Young Wild Things Tour is coming to memphis on october 27!!!

that means: FALL OUT BOY, GYM CLASS HEROES, PLAIN WHITE T'S AND CUTE IS WHAT WE AIM FOR!!!!

and....i'm seeing GYM CLASS HEROES tonight at delta fest!!!

life is good.

back to school...

this week has been a wicked crazy.

lask weekend i went to the art institute o' tennessee for an open house, and came home sunday,

monday i went to FUTURESEX//LOVESHOW and found out justin timberlake likes patron (wooo!) and benji madden is vertically challenged. we had floor seats which kicked ass! and one of the dancers from dancelife on mtv was there.

tuesday - thursday was a shopping blur [i should become a spokesperson for old navy jeans]

friday i left for nashville again...no real reason...just cuzz dats how i roll.

i just got back about four hours ago, but went shopping again for one of those hours.

before i get accused of havin a shopping addiction: i go back to school tomorrow, which gives a good xcuse to go shopping!!

which brings mee to the end of all things good: school is back in session...meaning homework, uncomfortable desks, waking up early, sucking all the fun out of life.

now all i have to look forward to is:

gym class heroes 8//31 at the agricenter

the academy is.. 10//05 at the daisy

93Xfest w//korn, chevelle, and drowning pool 10//06 at mud island

im gonna need another job to pay for these tickets and back to school stuff. luckily fueledbyramen has a back to school sale...that ends today...gotta go!

the fourth was pretty eventful.

i ran away from home with my mom.
- dads suck

i saw transformers
- it was awsome by the way
- shia lebouf looked hot in that camero
- i want a new gmc car (excellent movie propaganda by the gmc people)

the sleeping with giants tour is coming to memphis
- wooooooooo!
- october 5th at the new daisy theatre
- i've been waiting forever to see the academy is live.

gym class heroes is coming to memphis
- august 31 at the agricenter
- im guessing it's to make up for bailing on memphis in may
- it's at some random festival, but i'm going!!

that's worthy of a wooooo!
TAI and GCH. i'm gonna go crazy if either one of them bails.
then there's armor for sleep, the rocket summer, and sherwood.

i didn't get to see any fireworks on wednesday,
but who needs em when i've got news like this

summer break sucks...so far...

my uncle got shot and is now a parapalegic

no good concerts are coming to memphis

i dont think my friends realize that my knee is much better

in other news....

i love sisky's haircut and TAI needs to come to memphis...
